Rabbi Yaakov Ephraim Parisi

Today Yaakov Ephraim is a Chassidic Rabbi who travels around the country inspiring Jewish people to be excited about Judaism and show them the greatness of what they have. But the story isn't so simple. Over a decade ago, Yaakov Ephraim was an Evangelical pastor in Oklahoma.

Even as a pastor, Yaakov Ephraim taught his congregation to embrace the rituals of the Old Testament - something he'd been doing since the 80's.

After almost a decade, he stopped trying to reconcile the Old Testament and the New Testament, closed down his church, moved to Denver and, by 1998, completed his conversion to Judaism before a Jewish Court.

Since then Yaakov Ephraim, the former pastor, has inspired thousands of Jews to ignite their souls with his passion and incredible enthusiasm for Torah and Mitzvos.

In this weeks torah portion bhar bchukosai we read about homes going back to their original owner by the yovel year. This teaches us a lesson that nothing in this world belongs to us. Lahashem haaretz umlo'o. So even if we're not living in the land of Israel we must realize that nothing belongs to us. Gd gives it to us as a loan for the purpose of serving him one should never think that he owns something in this world just for the sake of self perseverance.

We are saddened to inform our clients, investors and friends of Simon Jacobson, The J Group, of the Passing of his beloved father Rabbi Betzalel Jacobson, who unexpectedly returned his soul to his Maker this past Sunday the 7th of Adar.

Rabbi Betzalel Jacobson was involved in many Community outreach activities. A special memorial fund has been established in his memory.
